| CVE-2017-5342 | 2 Redhat, Tcpdump | 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In tcpdump before 4.9.0, a bug in multiple protocol parsers (Geneve, GRE, NSH, OTV, VXLAN and VXLAN GPE) could cause a buffer overflow in print-ether.c:ether_print(). | ||||
| CVE-2017-12598 | 2 Debian, Opencv | 2 Debian Linux, Opencv | 2025-04-20 | 8.8 High |
| OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) through 3.3 has an out-of-bounds read error in the cv::RBaseStream::readBlock function in modules/imgcodecs/src/bitstrm.cpp when reading an image file by using cv::imread, as demonstrated by the 8-opencv-invalid-read-fread test case. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16365 | 1 Adobe | 4 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| An issue was discovered in Adobe Acrobat and Reader: 2017.012.20098 and earlier versions, 2017.011.30066 and earlier versions, 2015.006.30355 and earlier versions, and 11.0.22 and earlier versions. The vulnerability is caused by a buffer over-read in the True Type2 Font parsing module. A corrupted cmap table input leads to a computation where the pointer arithmetic results in a location outside valid memory locations belonging to the buffer. An attack can be used to obtain sensitive information, such as object heap addresses, etc. | ||||

| CVE-2017-11540 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| When ImageMagick 7.0.6-1 processes a crafted file in convert, it can lead to a heap-based buffer over-read in the GetPixelIndex() function, called from the WritePICONImage function in coders/xpm.c. | ||||
| CVE-2017-0725 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |

| The snd_usb_create_streams function in sound/usb/card.c in the Linux kernel before 4.13.6 allows local users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and system crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted USB device. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9224 | 3 Oniguruma Project, Php, Redhat | 3 Oniguruma, Php, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | 9.8 Critical |
| An issue was discovered in Oniguruma 6.2.0, as used in Oniguruma-mod in Ruby through 2.4.1 and mbstring in PHP through 7.1.5. A stack out-of-bounds read occurs in match_at() during regular expression searching. A logical error involving order of validation and access in match_at() could result in an out-of-bounds read from a stack buffer. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9954 | 1 Gnu | 1 Binutils | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The getvalue function in tekhex.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (stack-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted tekhex file, as demonstrated by mishandling within the nm program. | ||||
| CVE-2017-12933 | 2 Php, Redhat | 2 Php, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The finish_nested_data function in ext/standard/var_unserializer.re in PHP before 5.6.31, 7.0.x before 7.0.21, and 7.1.x before 7.1.7 is prone to a buffer over-read while unserializing untrusted data. Exploitation of this issue can have an unspecified impact on the integrity of PHP. | ||||
| CVE-2016-10251 | 2 Jasper Project, Redhat | 2 Jasper, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the jpc_pi_nextcprl function in jpc_t2cod.c in JasPer before 1.900.20 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted file, which triggers use of an uninitialized value. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14819 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 1 Foxit Reader | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 8.3.1.21155. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the channel number member of the cdef box. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-5011. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000254 | 2 Haxx, Redhat | 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote. | ||||
| CVE-2017-8401 | 1 Swftools | 1 Swftools | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In SWFTools 0.9.2, an out-of-bounds read of heap data can occur in the function png_load() in lib/png.c:724. This issue can be triggered by a malformed PNG file that is mishandled by png2swf. Attackers could exploit this issue for DoS. | ||||
